Hi,
My name's Durga. I am a second year college student, studying
Social Work. Many, many people who had to take Geography or Social Science in high school know that millions of women in developing
countries spend hours walking to collect firewood or water.
In our very own neighborhood, there are many, many homeless
people, people with othr problems. What's my pont?
There is something called a solar oven that only requires
cardboard, mirrors and a lot of sun that could be used to cook food without firewood. I could go on the computer and find
information about homeless shelters and non profit organisations that could help people who need help. And all they need is
the information.
People want to help. Sometimes not simply becasue of the
goodness of their heart but because there is a problem that they can do something about.
This website is about information about problems that other
people or me, or you, have found a possible solution to.
It is also a website for people who want to help. Things
you can do to help.
This website also answers specific questions you might have,
and posts comments, ideas or suggestion you might have...
So I hope to hear from you as often as possible....
